I kinda blew saw dust EVERYWHERE. That’s what you get for watching back-to-back episodes of a home improvement show on TLC…where the carpenter is Hot and British. Oops. I spewed saw dust. I’m still finding random chunks.
Ran around like a looney (not the coin) today and got some great deals. The Belkin clamp-on surge protector that I’ve been coveting is $12.97 on Circuit City’s website. It’s $24.99 at Target and $31.XX at Circuit City (in store). So, printed a copy of Circuit City’s website and asked them to price match to their wesbite. They did. Got 2 of them for $12.97 each. Yay! The war on wires will start immediately.
Picked up a programmable thermostat at Target. We’ve been rocking the old fashioned kind for too long – hopefully this will save some cash (that I’ll blow elsewhere) and oil. The house does well on oil (for a c1839 house) but it’s too hot upstairs at night and fans don’t seem to help. Whilst at Target I nabbed 2 chandeliers and a rug from the “Global Bazaar” sale at 75% off.
Then, there was still room in the trunk so I bought lots of fabric, other sewing tools (thread organizer, carry case for the machine, etc.) and random other bobbits and bows.
Contest? What contest? Oh yeah…our return to the 80’s…
Lastly…Laura-From-The-Plane posted on the thread about the meeting with Rick Springfield. There’s also a link to pictures on her Facebook account (I don’t have Facebook, I’m a MySpace dork).
legifford has left a new comment on your post “The Front Desk Guys Give The Fiance A Run For His …”:
I tried to post last week, but I don’t see it, so I’ll have another go at it.
I am the John-Hiatt-singing, Rick-Springfield-meeting chick from the plane. The show was fantastic! Rick played in true, hot, sweaty, Rock’n'Roller style for two hours, sovering just about every song you would want to hear (at least in part). It was so much fun! Then at the Meet n Greet, he’d showered, taken out his contacts, had on glasses, put on a fuzzy sweatshirt & comfy pants, and looked like somebody’s dad! It made it even better to see how hard he worked to portray that Rock’n'Roll image for us and entertain us! I posted a few pics at my Facebook page: LINK
Enjoy!
Wait! Wait! Wait! Have you seen this saw? I am WAY too excited about this. Is it bad that it almost made me cry with happiness? I’m such a dork.

Did we evr solve the mystery of the Rock Star who Signed the Jacket and Later Dated Jean?
It wasn’t Rick Springfield. Let’s leave it at that.
You know, I could watch that table saw nick that hot dog all day!
I’ve watched it like 5 times. I’m easily amused.
