Where’s Waldo? Umm, I Mean The Damn Electrician.

July 16, 2008 by jeanmartha

The electrician never showed up on Monday. I’m sooooo glad I dragged the Fiance to the house, took a day off of work and sat around waiting ALL DAY. He also hasn’t returned the messages I left for him. WTF? Argh. I called another electrician and made an appointment for 7/25. We shall see…or NOT depending on the lighting…

I smell an Etsy bender. Do you smell it too? Found this artisan/seller this morning.

Perty. Perty. The Fiance should feel free to purchase the TGB Designs petal dot earrings or those lantern earrings for me at the next gift-giving opportunity. Looking at the calendar, that would be August 4th. My calendar says that August 4th is Picnic Day in Australia. Perfect! No clue what Picnic Day is all about…but who doesn’t love a good picnic?

OK back to renovation-ee stuff.

Krylon. No, I’m not becoming an inner-city tagger…but I’m pretty darn good at spray painting schidt. Having spent a lot of time scouring Home Depot, Lowes, Michaels, Walmart, etc. for new colors I can tell you that the BEST colors are not there. No sir. You gotta go to Pearl Paint or Krylon’s website. They have a veritable potpourri of colors and nozels and accessories.

Mebbe I will become an inner-city tagger. Look for “JeanMartha” in hot pink on the R train and the Hudson Line Amtrak. I kid! I kid! I keep thinking I need to set up a “spray paint station” in the garage. Yeah, we’re taking this show bigtime! We’re adding colors n all kindz of craziness.

Umm, ok…I’ll settle down now and stop ending wordz in “z”.

Did you notice the blue painters tape on the green apple chandelier? It was meant to cover the sockets. Now…however…I am obsessed with painting the candle socket covers that shade of blue. I love the way the painter’s tape color POPS against the apple green.

New obsession…thanks to Erin’s The House & I…here’s It’s Lovely, I’ll Take It. Warning…you will spend A LOT of time there. The blog is a smorgasboard or BAD real estate photos. Prepare to snort loudly.

Thanks for coming back. Everyone is clicking thru to It’s Lovely and then not coming back to comment and that makes me a sad, sad, sad blogger. LOL

That site is funny as hell.

OK, now really…where did everyone go?

Blue tape! From the photo, I just thought you had super-cool blue candelabra bulbs. It looked nicely surreal.

Earrings are fabulous, and I actually LOL’d for real with that Queen comment. I want to ride my bicycle…

When I first saw that photo, I thought you had painted the chandelier green and blue ; it took a minute to realize it was tape.

I was about to go to bed last night when I popped on over to “It’s lovely”. Too, too funny!

I brought the painters tape to a paint store last night to try and match it…I want to paint the socket covers that color blue!!

I think that blue and green were made for each other. Painter’s tape, who knew?
