It’s 2:45AM and I can’t sleep. I was going through my other flickr account and finding pictures of me through the years that made me chuckle. Go ahead…have a giggle…perm-city.
This first picture is my “headshot” back from when I was going to rule the world with my bass guitar. Umm, it didn’t quite happen – but I did get to audition for Rob Zombie once. Think I’m about 20/21 in this picture. Gotta love the perm and bustier action!
Visiting the Linclau-Tolls in Connecticut. The dog in my arms is Elvis, he rocked the house. I miss him so much, he was my bestest friend for many years and an awesome travel companion. The other dog is Jasmine – also a totally rockin’ doggy. I’d like to think that they are hanging out together and telling really bad jokes. I’m about 27 in this picture.
This is me and my friend Randy in Rome. Man, we drank (and ate!) a lot. Great vacation. This is 7-8 years ago.
Halloween, I’m 22 years old and per the date stamp, it’s after midnight. I’m so mean, I mailed this picture to my parents in an unmarked envelope. Guess they were used to my sense of humor, they knew it was me pranking them.
I think I’m barely 18 here. I went to Washington DC with my sister Elaine and she had just bought a brand new Jetta. I was so excited that she let me drive it all over the city. I got so lost…pre-GPS days. On the way back to New York some guy kept making rude hand gestures to us. Memories…
This is one of my all time favorite pictures of me. I have an enormous mouth (not quite Carly Simon sized, but darn close) and here it is laughing in all it’s glory. I’m about 21/22 here. The woman with the long dark hair all the way to the left is Carol who is married to Ed Holub, Ed took my headshot up at the top. Barb is in the middle. Barb was an awesome friend but we’ve lost touch over the years, we’re down to cards @ Christmas. I blame me, I just really suck at staying in touch when people move.
Last but not least, this is Paris. Believe this was my first trip there and I was on my own. I asked two really sweet Japanese girls to take my picture. They spoke no English and I speak no Japanese but we figured out how to communicate. Ahh, the international sign language of handing your camera to a stranger and making the “click click” hand gesture. I later took a bunch of pictures of them with their camera. I especially love my black velvet trench coat (Gosh, I miss that coat!) with SNEAKERS!?!?
This reminds me, never let me get a perm and never let me cut “bangs” into my hair again. Thanks.

love it! It is so cool to see old pics! I love yr rad headshot! gorgeous even if dated! The Paris shot is so cool too!
You are beeyooteeful! I didn’t know you played bass guitar. That explains it, then. Everybody knows the bass player is the drollest member of the band.
You’re so completely fierce in your perm and bustier, and oh my yes, that is a bit of a Carly mouth. Love the Paris shot!
What an interesting life you’ve had so far. I’ve been to some exotic places but never to Paris or Rome. You’re my live-life-to-the-fullest hero.

P.S. Thanks for the info on the sewing machine.
Suzanne – It was easy before the Euro and with super cheap flights from NYC…sadly…those days are gone.
this totally trumps my Hair cast photo.
You look great in every single picture!!!
a. I feel your curly + bangs = pain hair-history.
b. the bustier picture is TO DIE FOR. you were smokin baby. I would have been your groupie in a heartbeat. And I mean that in a “I’m going to copy your hair and dress like you” nonsexual way of course.
My nickname in high school was “Half Perm” because I never bothered to cut off the bottom of my hair when my perm grew out.
And may I say, I was never quite the babe you were!
I like your curly hair and the picture of your big smile. The straight look might be the in thing but curly hair definitely continues to be in fashion. Curly hair has always been a proof of beauty, versatility and sexiness that is usually considered lacking in the straight hair.
For instance, look at Hollywood star Minnie Driver. The brunette’s sexy curls make her a favorite among photographers and also among the best looking divas who continue to be unfazed by the straight hair look that’s sweeping in.
